Žive narodi svoje živote, dovijeka se bore za svoju slobodu, Neko žeđa za rajem, ubijajući istinu, neko se prodaje za nagradu. Neko, izdajući, iz života izbrisaće domovinu, voljene, sve prijatelje i bližnje, Tamo gdje se rodio neko koristiće, živio je prost život bez stida i krivnje. Vidim mnoge sudbine, slične i neslične, nije svakom vijeku dopušteno proći u miru i slozi. Gori u grudima briga. Za ljude, za Zemlju, Bogu se molim. 	What do you think is the main problem of peace in your country? Suggest solutions to us, and how to bring and preserve peace in your country with poetry?	Я проживаю в мирной стране. А во многих странах идёт вражда, борьба , войны. Всё то, чего люди так боятся, и сами же провоцируют своей несдержанностью. Раньше говорили, что все войны начинаются из-за женщин. Видимо, или это миф, или времена переменились. Сейчас войны происходят по глупости (моё личное мнение). Поэзия не может остановить никакую войну, никакие военные действия не прекратятся, если вы или я, или все поэты мира начнут читать свои стихи о мире. Но все поэты мира могут своими стихами о красоте, о дружбе, о любви, о природе, о созидании(а не о разрушении и ужасах) нести в народ красивое, доброе вечное. И если с этим словом наступит пробуждение хоть в одной голове, если стихами можно спасти, излечить или облагородить хоть одного человека, то надо писать, писать и писать! И если каждый поэт мира пробудит к жизни хоть одну больную душу, то весь мир станет сразу светлым, мирным и добрым.

KNJIŽEVNA KRITIKA ŽIRIJA

Književna kritika (komentar) žirija na pročitane pjesme:

Nermin Delić: ANTJE STEHN – Maestralan početak. Kraj je mogao biti snažniji. (ANTJE STEHN – Masterful start. The ending could have been stronger.)

NATALIE BISSO – Pjesma u kojoj ne prepoznajem originalne pjesničke elemente. Fali više kreativnosti. Sve što je rečeno u pjesmi, neko je već rekao. Nema nijedan stih koji ima samo u ovoj pjesmi i više ni u jednoj drugoj. (NATALIE BISSO – A poem in which I do not recognize the original poetic elements. More creativity is lacking. Everything that is said in the poem, someone has already said. There is not a single verse that is only in this poem and not in any other.)

SONJA TAIROVSKA ĐURČAK – Pregršt gramatičkih i informatičkih grešaka. Pjesma je mogla biti čak i zanimljiva u svoj toj svojoj jednostavnosti. No, utisak je potpuno pokvaren.

MEHMED DELIĆ MEŠA – Fale mi snažniji motivi. Lijepe su pjesme o Uni, ali ovdje tek nazirem pjesnički talent ovog divnog čovjeka. Fale mi fraze koje bih pamtio o Uni koja je već toliko puta opjevana.

Anđela Turukalo: Antje Stehn- perfect.

Natalie Bisso- this poem is ok. I’m not overly pleased by it- it needs more innovations, more original motifs- it has to be more creative. Also, it lacks strength. It should be more powerful, more striking.

Sonja Tairovska Đurčak- interpunkcija je od velikog značaja u ovakvim pjesmama. Zatim, treba unijeti više emocije, više sebe i svojih misli- potreban je lični pečat. Kreativnije slike, originalnije.

Mehmed Delić Meša- emocija je snažna u ovoj pjesmi. Ima i lijepih pjesničkih slika. Ipak, potrebna je bolja interpunkcija i valjalo bi da je pjesma snažnija i upečatljivija.

Lela Zjajo: ANTJE STEHN – Interesantna tema. Pezija u službi informacija kad su nam dostupne vijesti na milion strana i mogućnosti čuti ih. Ipak, ono što je interesantno je način kako su te “informacije” upakovane u pjesmu. Dosta znalački je pjesmom dato na znanje koliko autorica teži miru u svijetu, onom najsvetijem u životu čovjeka. Veoma lijepo je to posložila i na jasan način pokazala koliko licemjerja je prisutno oko nas, koliko težnje za bogatstvom, a zapravo, normalan svijet želi mir i samo mir. Izrazito dobra pjesma i autorica nam je pokazala da trenutačna situacija u svijetu nije bas zavidna i upozorava na bitnost mira. Radi čega ratovi, radi čega bogatstvo ako se nema život dostojan čovjeka. Bravo!  (ANTJE STEHN – Interesting topic. Pezia in the service of information when news is available to us on a million pages and the opportunity to hear it. However, what is interesting is the way this “information” is packed into the poem. The poem quite skillfully shows how much the author strives for peace in the world, the most sacred thing in human life. She arranged it very nicely and showed in a clear way how much hypocrisy is present around us, how much striving for wealth, and actually, the normal world wants peace and only peace. An extremely good poem and the author showed us that the current situation in the world is not very enviable and warns about the importance of peace. What are wars for, what is wealth for if there is no life worthy of a man. Well done!)

NATALIE BISSO – Vrlo interesantna pjesma. Vjerovatno ista puno drugačije i bolje zvuči na maternjem jeziku autorice, no i ovako prevedena daje naslutiti koliko autorica daje prednost vjeri i koliko vjera utiče na sve nas. Naravno, u određenim okolnostima i u životu uopšte. Posvećena pjesma i lijepo sročena je pola uspjeha. (NATALIE BISSO – Very interesting poem. It probably sounds much different and better in the author’s native language, but even translated like this, it gives an idea of how much the author gives priority to religion and how much faith affects us all. Of course, in certain circumstances and in life in general. A dedicated poem and beautifully worded is half the success.)

SONJA TAIROVSKA ĐURČAK – Prilično nesređena pjesma, bez znakova intepunkcije i sa nedostatkom slova u pojedinim riječima. Obična pjesma glasom i riječju bića koje voli svoju Slavoniju. Već toliko pročitana tema i bez ikakvog nastojanja da se ta Slavonija ljepše opiše i označi pjesmom. Poezija nije nabrajanje, to se umjetnošću može dovesti do dopadanja.

MEHMED DELIĆ MEŠA – I ova je pjesma prilično nesređena i upućujem kritiku ovom autoru koji zna na koji način sređene pjesme moraju biti poslane organizatoru, obzirom da je naš stari znanac. Inače, sadržajno pjesma nije loša. Tema izrazito lijepo odabrana ali nedovoljno obrađena u cjelinu koja bi bila dopadljiva. Ima tu malo i odskakanja od poetičnog stila što kvari moj osobni utisak. Malo više vremena se moralo posvetiti pjesmi kako bi se osigurao siguran prolazak dalje u ovakvoj konkurenciji zealja cijelog Svijeta. Moji bodovi su za odlično odabranu temu, stilsko uređenje pjesme i prekrasne riječi koje su dočarale svu ljepotu ove rijeke. Srećno!

PUBLIC CALL

We are inviting all affirmed and non-affirmed poets from whole the world to participate in the most popular online poetry contest in this part of Europe – called Mili Dueli (Sweet Duels). Participation is related with promoting poetry and multicultural dialogue between artists all across the planet, especially between Balkans nations. Authors are presented on official Facebook profile of Mili Dueli and there, they have opportunity to meet each other, exchange their knowledge and get prizes. During seven seasons we presented more than 1 500 authors from more than 45 countries across the world. If you are so far from Bosnia and Herzegovina, do not worry! We are very welcome to host you as an author and your country and meet your culture. Our jury is international and we are promoting diversity.

How to apply?

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

Milli Dueli (eng. Sweet Duels) are international in character, and authors from any part of the world can apply for the competition without age restriction. The only condition for application is that you are the author of the poetry you are submitting to the competition.
Note: Earlier Mili Dueli participants can apply again. The exception is the winners of the previous seven seasons who can no longer participate in the Contest.

Grand Prize: Plaque + Laureate “Mili Dueli” (“Poet of the Year by Mili Dueli 2020”) – for 1st place
* The award is presented next year, during the summer.

– Al Buqain Award – for the person who, over the course of the season, was most prominent in promoting the international cooperation of writers through the media, in accordance with the mission of the Mili Dueli Project. The award includes a plaque.

– Aga Award – A special recognition in the final, awarded for the most viewed video clip of a poetry author, in honor of the tragically suffering finalist of Mili Dueli 2019, Nermin Aganovic. The award includes a plaque.

Revial recognition: 

Each author who is selected to participate in Milli Dueli receives electronic and / or print (depending on participation in the collection and coming to the promotion planned in the future) Prize for international cooperation, literary contribution of placing the written word through social networks, and encouraging development literary criticism in this region during 2020.

Note: An electronic poetry compilation of the author and literary criticism of the jury on their works will be published this season. Further details and a call will be released on the details of the great print collection of Mili Dueli participants from this and previous seasons.

ABOUT MILI DUELI

Mili Dueli is a project to promote culture, art and tolerance in the Balkans. Its main feature is the poetry contest of Balkan authors, diaspora authors and foreign poetry authors. The project was founded and inspired by the idea of Nermin Delic, a Bosnian writer.

The poetry contest you are planning to apply for is in online formation. Follow everything from the comfort of your home, through the social network Facebook and our official website! Contest is made up of five elimination rounds. The authors submit a new poem to each successive circle that they pass, which they review and evaluate through literary review with an international jury composed of renowned Balkan artists across the region, and of the earlier winners of Mili Dueli. In addition to the jury, the decision as to who goes into the next rounds is made by our regular readers who follow us, as well as the authors’ friends. The Contest is unique in that it gives the jury comprehensive commentary, guidance and reasoning for their votes; which is not the case in any other regional poetry competition. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for anyone who wants literary criticism on their poems. The project is a great opportunity for young, unconfirmed authors to come to the fore, but also for affirmed, older authors, to validate success. The jury only evaluates the poems that the author submits to the competition, without insight into the other works of the author, and it is therefore important that you submit your best poems.

In the previous year,  the most famous business magazine in the world – American Forbes, wrote about the Mili Dueli project which characterized it as the most popular poetry contrast in the former Yugoslavia. Also, in 2018, for the essay on acting through the project, the organizer Nermin Delić was awarded the UNESCO Peace Prize in Japan. The same year, in Bosnia and Herzegovina he was awarded the Genius of the Year award for his idea and volunteer work on the project at the Bosnia and Herzegovina – Men of the Year Award. More details can be found on Bosnian language HERE. In 2013, the organizer also spent a month in the US educating under the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina Youth Leadership Program.

From the seven previous seasons, these are the winners of Mili Dueli: Dijana Stevanovic Uherek (Serbia), Enea Hotic (BiH), Angela Turukalo (Montenegro), Ante Jezercic (Croatia), Lela Zjajo (Germany), Stefan Lazarevic (Serbia), Iryna Fingerova (Ukraine) and Nikola Ismail (Serbia).

Over the course of these seven seasons, over 2500 applications have been submitted for participation in the Mili Dueli, and we have awarded over 100 authors to our highest literary awards. The previous year, organizer spent over 700 hours of volunteer work on the project. Also, jury spent over 200 hours of volunteer work on the poetry evaluation. The website visitor count surpassed the figure of 500,000,000 over the last three months. It seems as a special success in the era of unpopular poetry reading!

There is no doubt that the Mili Dueli have become a real internet sensation for discovering new talented poets and for stimulating their creativity. This is a unique opportunity for new acquaintances of similar people who live near and far and who have the same hobby – writing.

Each year, the concept of the Contest is identical, but the rules from season to season and from round to round change, for the sake of interaction, interest, euphoria, and maximum objectivity, since everyone who works on the project volunteers for free. For culture, tolerance and poetry…
