Presentation of the author’s poem and perfromance to the Jury members
Jury members vote independently of each other from the start, in separate polls. In the Grand Final, they will vote in both the first and the second part. In the first part, they will vote only in groups (pots) where they are mentors, while in the second part they will vote comprehensively.
A) PART ONE
In the first part, which will last until the 15th day after the publication of the last audiovisual performance, Jury members who have found themselves in the role of mentors, vote only in groups (pots) where there are authors whom they are mentors. They vote by sending their TOP 10 authors from each group (pot) to the Organizer, ranking them from first place to tenth. Based on their ranking of the authors, the Organizer awards points: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 to the ten authors they selected. By adding up the votes of all Jury Members who have the right to vote in a certain pot, the final list of authors is obtained. Jury members directly forward 2 authors from each pot, for a total of 14 authors.
Note: When voting, there is only one rule, which is that jury members cannot vote for more than one author from one country, if that pot has 10 or more countries. The only exception is pot no. 1 which has only 6 countries, where Jury members can vote for a maximum of 2 authors from one country.
B) PART TWO
In the second part, all permanent members of the jury vote. From the TOP 50, they choose the TOP 10 authors to whom (all separately) they assign the following points: 120, 100, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. These points are completed in the final scoreboard to select the winner.
Presentation of the author’s poem and performance to the Organizer
The Organizer is the person who mostly collaborated with the authors in the previous year, and represents a kind of node of the contest. He voted in all four previous rounds, and in the Grand Final he is asked to additionally help choose the winner of the contest. Therefore, he votes in both the first and second parts of the Grand Final.
A) PART ONE
In the first part of the Grand Final, the Organizer votes in 3 categories:
CATEGORY 1: Poetry
(Points: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
CATEGORY 2: Audiovisual performance
(Points: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
CATEGORY 3: Intercultural dialogue (Interview with the authors)
(Points: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
Note: This category includes the survey interview that the authors completed when they sent the application for the Grand Final. In that interview, there is their biography, questions about their contribution to pacifism and cosmopolitanism.
By adding up the points from these three categories, the authors will be ranked and 3 authors from each pot (21 authors in total) will go to the very end of the competition.
B) PART TWO
In the second part, the Organizer evaluates the TOP 50 authors and chooses his 10 from each of the following categories, awarding them the following points:

Presentation of the author’s poem and perfromance to the other authors (National Jury)
Participating authors of Mili Dueli (this and previous seasons) will form a kind of National Jury of the Grand Final of Mili Dueli 2023. Some of them will be (in secret) invited to (in secret) cast their votes in the second part of the Grand Final. It is only mandatory that all authors participating in the second part of the Grand Final will be members of the national jury of their country. Naming others is up to Organizer. They will receive a poll in which there will be TOP 50 authors with their audiovisual performances. They will vote by giving points to the top ten of them, according to their opinion. The points they will be able to give are: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1. The author’s results will be added up by country, and each country will award unique points: 12, 10, 8, 7 , 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 in the final chart. 113 countries and their over 400 authors have the right to vote this season.
Note: Authors will NOT be able to vote for authors from their country. Grand finalists will NOT be able to vote for themselves and for authors from their country.
Those points are included in the final scoreboard to select the winner.
Author’s previous ranking
Authors will receive points in both the first and second part of the Grand Final, based on their previous placement.
A) PART ONE
Based on the current ranking (the points the authors received from the beginning of the second round to the end of the fourth round) in the first part of the Grand Final, only one author from all 7 groups (pots) with the highest number of points will go directly to the very end of the Grand Final. . The name of that author will be known when the remaining 49 authors who will join him in the TOP 50 are announced.
That is why, until the end of the Grand Final, the results of the Fourth Round remain secret, in order to prevent the possibility of favoring the authors.
B) PART TWO
In the second part, the points from the fourth rounds organized before and points from the first part of the Grand Finals will be added. In the end, the ten best-ranked authors out of the fifty of them will receive the following points: 120, 100, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10.
Those points are included in the final scoreboard to select the winner.
START DATE
The first part of the Grand Final starts already on January 3, 2024. Having on minds that there are 126 videos that need to be uploaded to the social network Facebook (and later, in the second part of the Grand Final, 50 of them to Instagram), it is not possible to predict how long it will take to upload the videos. In any case, voting on social networks starts from the moment the video is uploaded, and for the next 30 days on Facebook (or 15, if it’s Instagram). In the first part (first 15 days of the Grand Finals), you can vote only on Facebook (by watching videos and reacting to them).
The order of uploading videos will go by continent: Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and North and South America. After the video is posted on the social network, it will be forwarded to all authors via private message. Thank you all in advance for your patience!
