Cyprus is an island country. It has a population of about 800,000. The country is distinguished by the internationally recognized southern part, which is inhabited by the Greeks and the northern part, which is a self-proclaimed republic (Northern Cyprus), inhabited by the Turks. Nicosia, the capital city, is located in the realm of these two areas.
Kipar je otočna zemlja. Ima oko 800 000 stanovnika. U državi se razlikuje međunarodno priznati južni dio, koji je nastanjen Grcima i sjeverni dio koji je samoproglašena republika, nastanjen Turcima. Glavni grad Nikozija, nalazi se na samoj ganici ova dva područja.
