L’AUTOMNE

JESEN

Napravim korak, dva, tri, da uđem u novo godišnje doba.
Napolju, ovdje vani, počela je kiša prvog dana jeseni
i kasnog ljeta.

a i zemlja nosi miris života.
Ptice cvrkuću pod mokrom strehom
i koracima hrle u žućkaste boje.

Autumn

I take a step, two, three, to enter a new season.
Outside, out here, the rain of the first day of autumn began
and of late summer.
Sleepy sunflower umbrellas opened
to hear the symphony of rain once more.

Splish-splash, with the wind, the first leaves fly to the sky
and others fall
turning into messengers of dreams
for those who remain silent behind windows.

The first day of autumn carries the scent of the earth
and the earth also bears the fragrance of life.
Birds chirping under the wet shelter
and steps that rush to yellowish colors.

Something special about you!
I am at the end of my new book which I hope will be published in France. My hobby is listening to classical music especially, flowers and paintings. I like traveling where I get experiences and inspiration. As I said I am of Franco-Albanian origin and in my country I graduated as a language-literature teacher and worked as a University Librarian. Here I work in a bookstore.
What do you think is the main problem of peace in your country? Suggest solutions to us, and how to bring and preserve peace in your country with poetry?
I see a paradox. Today, in general, poetry books are not bought. Young people listen to a lot of songs and like the text, that is, poetry.
Poetry in itself is peace. Without poetry, without art, life is unbearable. Let’s inject poetry and the name peace and not hate into the little child at the beginning of school. More art.
List of the published books:
1. I don’t want winter in my eyes (1999)
2. Flowers of Montesquieu street (2022)
3.at the end.
Do you expect to win the contest?
YES
